With a fresh management team and an all-new hard-top convertible poised to hit the market in 2006, Volvo Cars of North America (VCNA) had a lot to say to its dealer body. To communicate its ideas efficiently and effectively, VCNA invited its retailers to the Texas hill country for the Volvo Retailer Conference.

The agenda? To drive the all-new Volvo C70 and hear first-hand the future business objectives for Volvo moving forward.

Ideas presented during the 2006 Volvo Retailers Conference reinforced the principles behind every Volvo: safety, quality and environmental care. With that foundation, the conference satisfied VCNA’s five priorities: sales, profitability, customer satisfaction, brand awareness and employee happiness.

The most important topic, of course, was how VCNA and its retailers will continue to work together to make these goals reality.

PCGCampbell managed nearly all parts of the 3-day Volvo Retailer Conference. Responsibilities included building a registration website, organizing ground transportation and logistics, hosting a welcome reception, writing scripts for key executives, organizing a Volvo C70 ride-and-drive and providing assistance to executives.

PCGCampbell’s in-house creative department also produced all the invitations, flyers and banners used during the event.

After the conference, the participants received surveys. Overall organization of the event received a score of 4.75 (5 is excellent).

Retailer opinion of the conference compared with others they have attended received a score of 4.33. Retailers also rated their ability to demonstrate the Volvo C70 to customers 22 percent improved after attending the conference.
