The Pebble Beach Concours d’Elegance, a world-famous auto show for vintage and classic cars, had an outdated Web site that was not in keeping with the elite and prestigious nature of the actual event. Additionally, the site was difficult to navigate, update and maintain, and key information was difficult to find.

- Represent the Concours’ brand image and promote the event.
- Organized and simple to navigate, making key information easily accessible.
- Enhance the visibility of event highlights.
- Enable staff to update, manage and maintain site content.
- Up-to-date in technology standards for mass audience appeal and long shelf life.
- Optimized to appear in major search engines.
Beginning in March 2006, we developed a site outline for the new site to determine the different audiences of the site and how to target them with information specific to their interests and needs. This was followed by several design concepts, an approved direction and refinements. Once design was complete, the front and back-ends were programmed.
To address the difficulty of maintaining the former site, a content management system was created, making it easy for approved staff with a Web connection to make updates (no programming experience is necessary to make the updates, which appear on the site instantaneously).
The completed site launched on May 15, 2007 and has received rave reviews from Councours staff, participants
and visiting news media: www.pebblebeachconcours.net.
