PCGCampbell wins two 2006 Excellence in Automotive Public Relations Awards

DEARBORN, Mich. (April 24, 2007) – The Automotive Public Relations Council (APRC) honored PCGCampbell with two 2006 Excellence in Automotive Public Relations Awards including a Gold Award for Outstanding Achievement in Crisis Communications and a Silver Award for Outstanding Achievement in Special Events.
The Awards were presented at the APRC Spring Conference held in Dearborn, Mich., on April 24, 2007. The 17 winners were chosen from a field of entries submitted by automotive public relations and communications companies representing most of the continental United States.
The Excellence in Automotive Public Relations Awards are chosen by an independent panel of industry professionals and identify public relations programs that have successfully addressed an automotive-related public relations issue with exemplary professional skill, creativity and resourcefulness. The award honors complete public relations programs t hat incorporate sound planning, execution and evaluation.
PCGCampbell received the Gold Award in Crisis Management was for a campaign that provided public relations support in assisting automotive plastics supplier, Meridian Automotive Systems, as they successfully emerged from bankruptcy.
PCGCampbell also won a Silver award for “Groove Detroit, Art in Motion,” a unique fundraising extravaganza, held during Super Bowl XL, that raised $248,000 for The Children’s Foundation, a long-standing Detroit-based charity serving thousands of children and their families through a multitude of programs.
